“Cancer is an evil in this world that does not discriminate who it targets,” said New England Franchisee Association, Burger King president Laurie Anne Palmer in a press release. “In one way or another during our lifetime either personally or through our loved ones, cancer will invade our lives.  The Burger King community in New England and beyond is proud to partner with The Jimmy Fund and do our part to strengthen their ability to fight cancer.”

Over the past 16 years, participating Burger King restaurants have raised more than $12.5 million for cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The funds from this program not only benefit patients and their families from New England, but from around the world.

“Each year Burger King franchisees, employees, and their restaurant guests have continued to fund cancer research and improve patient care at Dana-Farber,” said assistant VP of corporate partnerships at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Division of Development & the Jimmy Fund in a press release.
