12TH ANNUAL ITALIAN-AMERICAN FESTIVAL. Friday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, 1 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m., on Center St. Sponsored by the Sons of Italy, Sorelle d’Italia and Southington UNICO. RIDE FOR LIV POKER RUN. At Bristol Swedish Social Club, 38 Barlow St., Bristol. Registration, 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Motocycle ride, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A ride through the Litchfield hills followed by food, music, raffles. SUMMER SONGFEST. 2 – 4pm. at First Congregational Church, 37 Main St. A concert/sing-along featuring music from the American songbook by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and Louis Armstrong. This social event is an opportunity for individuals and families interested in learning more about the congregation to meet members in a relaxed setting and learn more about the community. BULKY WASTE TRANSFER STATION HOURS. The bulky waste transfer station on Old Turnpike Road will be open for the following dates and times: from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays, July 9, 16, 23, 30; from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 6, 13, 20, 27; Sept. 10, 17, 24; Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; Nov. 5, 9; and Dec. 3, 17.
