The Bristol Blues were victorious tonight, winning a close one over their western division foes, the Pittsfield Suns, by a score of 8-5. LIU-Brooklyn commit and 2016 ESPNBoston Mr. Baseball Scott Creedon made his first home start of the year for the Blues, tossing five scoreless before yielding four runs in the 6th. Christian Budzik (ECSU) and Lorenzo Arcuri’s (Youngstown State) back-to-back two-RBI hits in the bottom of the inning gave the Blues lead right back, however. Frankie Gregoire had himself a day at the plate, going 3-4 on his birthday, bringing his season average to .331. All-Star Mike Kreiger (LIU Brooklyn) got the last four outs of the game for the Blues, relieving Post University’s Ben Brown. The Blues are back at Muzzy Field on Saturday for a 7 PM game against the first-place Seacoast Mavericks, with fireworks following the game.
