On July 14, police arrested Christopher Poller, 23, of Waterbury for an accident with a stolen car in Southington last November. Poller was transported from the New Haven Correctional Facility to Bristol Superior Court for arraignment.
The police investigation began on Nov. 30, 2015, just before 11:30 p.m., when officers were dispatched to the area of 271 West St. on a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Dispatchers stated that the complainant’s vehicle had been stolen out of the driveway of the above address, and it hit a fence across the street and two small trees.
The vehicle was abandoned against the fence, and the suspect was seen going northbound on West Street. Investigators processed the interior of the vehicle for evidence, and a DNA swab and analysis matched Poller.
The stolen vehicle is a 2004 Honda Accord valued at $4,085.09, and property damage was approximately $2,500.00.
Poller was charged with third degree larceny and first degree criminal mischief. He was processed and presented for arraignment in Bristol Superior Court.
