The Bees: Jovan Rosa- the league’s sixth leading hitter with a .305 batting average- has been enjoying a solid stretch of play of late. Over his last ten games, the right-handed hitter is batting exactly .300 (12-40) with five runs scored and eight RBIs, including an important two-run double in last night’s win over Southern Maryland.

The Opposition: Bryant Nelson has enjoyed a strong season so far this season against the Bees. In eight games, the 23-year pro is hitting .400 (10-25) with three doubles and two RBIs, and has thus far picked up three hits in seven at-bats in the current series vs. New Britain.

New Britain- LHP Josh Outman (2-3, 4.61) | So. Maryland- RHP Brian Grening (3-2, 3.78)

Key to the Game – Connect four:Josh Outman is in the midst of perhaps his best pitching of the season so far. In his last three starts, the veteran left-hander has allowed just four earned runs across 18.1 inning, which is good for an ERA of 1.99. In his last start, he tossed a rain-shortened, 5.1 inning shutout, allowing just one hit. A fourth consecutive quality start should set the Bees up for their second straight series win.
