To the editor:

Our State Representative Dave Zoni, must be held accountable for his close relationship with Gov. Dannel Malloy, and his voting support of all his high tax increases and regulations. Their irresponsible leadership and incompetent budgeting has chased many employers out of Connecticut, including General Electric Corporate, which employees 5,700people.

This past Friday Canberra Industries Inc., a Meriden Manufacturing firm, announced they are moving to Oak Ridge, Tenn. They notified their 300 employees. The move was prompted by a challenging state business climate.

In addition both Aetna Inc. and Travelers Inc. announced they may leave Connecticut because of high taxes, fees, and regulations.

Yankee Institute reports in recent years 27,000 people and $3.8 billion in income left the state. According to recent Gallop Poll, 49 percent of Connecticut people wish they could leave the state.

This is the leadership Southington has sent to Hartford. A vote for Dave Zoni endorses the financial crisis that continues to exist in Connecticut.
