To the editor:
For months, we have been told of the state’s monetary problems, the layoffs, salary cuts and job eliminations. Today comes the report of a state loan of $2 million to a Pennsylania company to build a garbage disposal on DePaolo Drive.
This is the same Pennsylvania company that is waiting for state approval for construction of a garbage disposal at the junction of I-84 and Queen Street, the busiest intersection in town.
Take a ride around the hills off Flanders Street and look at one of the prettiest residential areas in the world. Your neglect will destroy all of this when Southington becomes the garbage disposal of Connecticut.
Wake up Southington. You’re drooling on your bib.
