BARNES MUSEUM CAR SHOW. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Barnes Museum, 85 North Main St. Wayne Carini of “Chasing Classic Cars” will bring a fleet of classic show cars to be displayed until noon. Event is open to classic auto, trucks, and motorcycles. Trophies awarded for several categories. $5 general admission to browse the cars, visit the food truck, face painting for kids, entertainment. ITALIAN-AMERICAN FESTIVAL HOMEMADE WINE CONTEST. Deadline for entries is July 7. Contest takes place during the festival on Saturday, July 30, at 2 p.m. Contest is free to enter and participants are able to submit more than one bottle of red and/or white as long as each entry is a different make and year. Bottled entries may be dropped off at Northeast Produce Regional Market in Hartford or Plainville on weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., or Verizon Wireless in the Shop Rite Plaza, Southington, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Contact Tony Cusano (860) 681-3451.
