Police arrest man for risk of injury and sexual assault of a minor

Police arrested a Southington man for three separate incidents involving a victim under the age of 16. Gary Allard Jr., 32, of Southington was arrested and charged with two counts of risk of injury to a child, two counts of second degree breach of peace, and fourth degree sexual assault.

The warrant stems from three incidents between Aug. 1, 2015 and April 24, 2016. The warrant alleges that Allard Jr. had inappropriate contact with the victim in all three incidents. He was charged with risk of injury and second degree breach of peace for the first incident (Aug. 1, 2015). He was charged with fourth degree sexual assault for an incident on Feb. 2, 2016, and he was charged with risk of injury and second degree breach of peace for a third incident on April 24, 2016.

The warrant is sealed an no further information will be released at this time.

Allard Jr. posted a $2,500 bond and was scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on May 16, 2016.
