TINY HAWK SOCCER & BASKETBALL PROGRAM—Tuesdays, May 10 to June 7, 5:30 p.m.-6:15 p.m., at the DePaolo Middle School gym. Introductory program open to Southington boys and girls ages 3-4. Cost is $70 per child. Class size is limited. More info and forms available at www.southington.org/skyhawks.

MINI HAWK SOCCER & TEE-BALL PROGRAM—Tuesdays, May 10 to June 7, 6:20 p.m.-7:20 p.m., at the DePaolo Middle School gym. Introductory program open to Southington boys and girls ages 5-7. Cost is $70 per child. Class size is limited. More info and forms available at www.southington.org/skyhawks.

TOUCH-A-TRUCK—Saturday, May 14, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Southington Drive-In. Rain date is Sunday, May 15. Children will enjoy climbing into construction, rescue, military and other vehicles, face painting, music and more. Cost is $3 for children and $1 for adults.

ADAPTED SOCCER PROGRAM—Tuesdays, May 17 to June 21, 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., at the Recreation Park soccer field No. 2B. The program will provide a stepping-stone approach to basic soccer skills. Students must bring their own sneakers or cleats, shin guards, and water bottles. Cost is $65 per child. More info at www.southington.org/soccer.

SKYHAWKS TRACK & FIELD CAMP—Now accepting registration for the track & field camp for Southington boys and girls aged 7-12. The program will take place on Monday, Aug. 1 to Friday, Aug. 5, 9 a.m.-noon, at the Southington High School track. The camp will focus on the following events: long distance, sprints, soft hurdles, relays, shot put, discus, and standing long-jump. Cost is $115 per child. DOG OBEDIENCE CLASSES (BEGINNERS)—Wednesdays, May 18 to June 29, 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., at The Summit at Plantsville, 261 Summit St. The instructor is Kevin Medeiros. First class is to be attended without your dog. Cost is $105 per dog. All dogs must be at least three months old with up-to-date vaccinations. Forms and mail-in registration at www.southington.org/DogObedience.

TENNIS LESSONS—Open to Southington residents aged 4-18. Session I: June 20-30. Session II: July 5-14. Session III: July 18-28. Session IV: Aug. 1-11, at the SHS tennis courts. Each two-week session runs Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. (ages 4-5); 9:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m. (ages 6-7); 11 a.m.-noon (ages 8-9); 12:15 p.m.-1:15 p.m. (ages 10-18) with Fridays open for rain dates if needed. Cost is $65 per session, and a smaller, lightweight racquet will be provided for children aged 4-9. More info at www.southington.org/tennis.

TENNIS MATCH PLAY— Open to Southington residents entering grades 6-12. Session I: June 20-30. Session II: July 5-14. Session III: July 18-28. Session IV: Aug. 1-11, at the SHS tennis courts. High school students (grades 9-12) will play from 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Middle school students (grades 6-8) will play from 9:45 a.m.-11:15 a.m. These two-week programs are for experienced tennis players to play against each other in an organized setting with guidance from the Park & Rec tennis coaches. MUSIC ON THE GREEN

Free concerts, along with a free car show, takes place every Wednesday, from May 25 through Aug. 31 on the Town Green. Music begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. Rain dates will be held on Thursdays. Dogs, skateboards, in-line skates/rollerblades, bicycles, scooters (gas, battery or push) and motorized vehicles are not allowed on the grounds during this event. A $25 violation fee applies. Police dogs, as well as dogs certified for use by disabled persons, are exempt.

BUS TRIPS
