Police were called to a home at 39 Hickory Hill Rd. after receiving calls about a domestic dispute, and the investigation resulted in three arrests, including one for discharging a shotgun during the dispute.
At approximately 7:36 p.m. on Monday, April 25, officers were dispatched to the home when reports that a juvenile was out of control, throwing items in the residence. Upon arrival, police discovered that a woman involved in the dispute allegedly pointed a shotgun at the juvenile during the argument before shooting into the ceiling.
Police reported that an adult male came home after learning about the incident, and the juvenile acted out again. He attempted to strike the male but was subdued. It was also alleged that during this incident, the male pointed a handgun at the juvenile and threatened to shoot.
Officers found evidence that a gun had been fired inside the residence, and that the adult male had allegedly hid the shotgun after learning of the incident. Neither the shotgun nor the handgun was stored in a proper manner.
All three parties were arrested by police.
The adult female was charged with disorderly conduct, first degree threatening, interfering with an officer, risk of injury, unlawful discharge of a firearm, two counts of unlawful storage of a firearm, and reckless endangerment. She was held on a $75,000 bond.
The adult male was charged with disorderly conduct, first degree threatening, interfering with an officer, risk of injury, two counts of unlawful storage of a firearm, and reckless endangerment. He was held on a $25,000 bond.
The juvenile was issued a juvenile summons for disorderly conduct.
DCF was contacted and is involved with this investigation.
Based on the fact that all of the parties involved in this incident are considered victims and arrestees in a domestic violence incident, no names or photographs will be released by police.
