Road race set for June 11 in Kensington

The Kensington Congregational Church’s first Lobster Loop 5K will be held on Saturday, June 11. This race will start at 8:30 am.

It will start and finish at Kensington Congregational Church, 312 Percival Avenue, Kensington, Connecticut.

After, the annual Festival on the Hill, featuring Lobster rolls and strawberry shortcake and other food, and live entertainment will be held.

This event is co-sponsored by Powerhouse Gym of Berlin, and Malibu Fitness of Farmington.

Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners, along with age category winners.

Registration is available online at http://www.kensingtoncong.org. The Lobster Loop is limited to the first 500 entrants who sign up before June 9. Early registration before May 1 is $20; from May 1 to June 9 the registration fee is $25. There is no race day registration.

T-Shirts will be provided to the first 300 entrants and registered runners will receive a free one-month membership to Powerhouse Gym or Malibu Fitness (restrictions may apply).

All proceeds will be used to support Kensington Congregational Church’s missions work in the community.
