On March 22, Robert Crotty, 43, Southington turned himself in at Southington Police headquarters after learning there was an active warrant for his arrest.
The warrant alleges that in Nov. 2015 Crotty took money to buy install parts on the a vehicle. Crotty purchased the parts, however he never installed them on the vehicle, nor did he give the parts to the victim. The warrant further states that Crotty stole a demolition saw and video surveillance equipment from the same victim. The value of the property was in excess of $1000. None of the property that was reported missing was located during the investigation.
Crotty was processed and charged with 4th degree larceny. Crotty posted a $10,000 court set surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on April 4, 2016.
