On April 6 at 10:40 am Corey Cyr, 19, Southington turned himself into Southington Police headquarters after learning of an active warrant for his arrest. Cyr was taken into custody and charged with first degree criminal mischief stemming from an incident that occurred on March 22.
The warrant alleges that Cyr and an acquaintance drove to a storage garage and while at the garage, Cyr intentionally damaged the victim’s vehicle. The warrant further alleges that Cyr suspected that the victim in this case damaged his acquaintance’s vehicle a few weeks earlier. The victim’s vehicle is a 2009 Volkswagen and the estimate to repair the damage to the vehicle was in excess of $2600.00.
Cyr was processed and released on a $2,500.00 non-surety bond and given a court appearance date of April 18 in Bristol Superior Court.
