To the editor:
Remember, some time ago, when our town’s Planning and Zoning Commission said that West Street will never become a busy, over-crowded street? Well, what happened? West Street is a mess today, and our town leaders and commissions want to keep building all over West Street.
I wonder how many of these town commission people, and leaders, live on West Street or close by? The people who do live on or near West Street do not want any more building, and building, on and on…
West Street residents speak at meetings, write letters, but no one is listening to them. All they get is, “Thanks for your input.” Town officials do what they want to do, and they approve almost everything when it comes to building.
So just tell all of us tax payers that we can speak at meetings, we can write letters—like this one—but they will continue to do what they want to do. Build, build, and keep building.
Hey, I looked in my yard, and the town started building condos on my lawn. Just kidding. Good luck, West Street.
