Look up in the skies, it’s a bird, it’s Eversource.
As part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the power grid and increase reliability, Eversource announced in a press release it will be surveying vegetation growing near its high voltage transmission lines. The work involves using two helicopters to cover more than 800 miles of transmission rights-of-way in Connecticut, said the release.
The survey will occur March 30 to April 8. No flights are scheduled for April 2 and 3, Saturday and Sunday. All flights are weather permitting and will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Bristol and Southington are among the towns slated for the survey.
