Southington police were dispatched to Garden Gate Road just after 6 p.m. on March 26 on a report of an unknown 911 emergency call. When police arrived, the investigation revealed that Edward Laramee, 61, of Southington was involved in an argument that sparked the 911 call.
The police investigation revealed that, during the argument, Laramee pushed a victim into a wall and struck the victim in the face. His actions were also found to have violated a valid protective order. Laramee had left the scene prior to police arrival.
The victim sought medical attention at a local hospital for minor injuries.
Later in the evening, Laramee was taken into custody without incident at his residence. He was arrested and charged with violation of a protective order, assault in the third degree, and disorderly conduct. He was held on a $10,000.00 bond with a court appearance date of March 28.
