Registration for the following classes and programs, unless otherwise noted, can be made at the Southington Recreation Department at (860) 276-6219. Checks should be payable to Town of Southington. DOUBLE DUTCH JUMP ROPE CLASSES—Thursdays, March 24 to May 19, 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., in the Plantsville Elementary School gym, 70 Church St. Open to Southington boys and girls ages 6-13. Cost is $40 per child. Pre-registration and payment is required. Class size is limited. Program details and a mail-in registration form are available at www.southington.org/JumpRope.

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S SUMMER SOFTBALL LEAGUES—The Southington Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for the Men’s and Women’s Summer Softball Leagues through Friday, March 25. Checks should be made payable to “Town of Southington.” Completed roster forms must be accompanied by a photocopied ID for all players, no exceptions by April 8 (men) or April 29 (women). Blank forms and league fees are available at www.southington.org/softball.  Contact: (860) 276-6219.

PLAYGROUND PROGRAM REGISTRATION—Online registration April 2-April 8 at www.southington.org/PlaygroundProgram.  The program is open to Southington children who will be entering grades 1-6 in the fall. Payments will be due in the Recreation office by Friday, April 22. Program takes place at South End School and Recreation Park, Mondays thru Fridays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with four sessions that total 7 weeks during the summer. Cost is $120 per child, per session (Session 4 is $60) with 2 session maximum.

TENNIS MATCH PLAY—Tuesdays, 6 p.m.-7 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-11 a.m., from April 19 to May 28, at the Panthorn Park tennis courts, Burritt St., Plantsville. Open to Southington residents entering grades 6-12 in the fall. This program allows experienced tennis players to play against each other in an organized setting. Cost is $60 per student. TINY HAWK SOCCER & BASKETBALL PROGRAM—Tuesdays, May 10 to June 7, 5:30 p.m.-6:15 p.m., at the DePaolo Middle School gym. Introductory program open to Southington boys and girls ages 3-4. Cost is $70 per child. Pre-registration and payment is required. Class size is limited. More info and forms available at www.southington.org/skyhawks.

MINI HAWK SOCCER & TEE-BALL PROGRAM—Tuesdays, May 10 to June 7, 6:20 p.m.-7:20 p.m., at the DePaolo Middle School gym. Introductory program open to Southington boys and girls ages 5-7. SKYHAWKS TRACK & FIELD CAMP—Now accepting registration for the track & field camp for Southington boys and girls aged 7-12. The program will take place on Monday, Aug. 1 to Friday, Aug. 5, 9 a.m.-noon, at the Southington High School track. The camp will focus on the following events: long distance, sprints, soft hurdles, relays, shot put, discus, and standing long-jump. Cost is $115 per child. Pre-registration and payment is required. BUS TRIPS

For additional information and cost, visit http://www.southington.org/recreation. Payment is due at registration. All trips are non-smoking and non-alcoholic. Insurance is available. Trips depart from the commuter lot in Cheshire on Route 10, close to the I-691. Checks should be made payable to Town of Southington. Contact the Recreation Dept at (860) 276-6219.
