To the editor:
For the past few weeks, I have noticed in the papers our two Democratic representatives announcing state funding for pet projects. It is quite puzzling to me how they are proud of their pork spending habits when the state has a $911 million deficit, which is growing by the minute.
This is a continued example of Gov. Dannel Malloy’s Democrats and their hubris. Coming back to a hard-working town like Southington, applauding further government spending is ludicrous. We work hard for our money and send a lot back to the state so Malloy can award money to help his cronies get re-elected.
This is what’s wrong with the State of Connecticut, and this path needs to be corrected. David Zoni and Joe Aresimowicz are the problem and need to be replaced when the opportunity arises.
The damage these two have evoked can be reversed, but we as a community need to make it known that we are not okay with them jeopardizing our futures and the futures of generations to come.
