Police are investigating early morning robbery at CVS

Police - CVS Robbery Release 1 - suspect

The Southington Police Department Detective Bureau is investigating an early Friday morning robbery that occurred at the CVS Store located at 310 Main St. in Southington.

On Friday, March 10, at approximately 5:41 AM, a black male suspect walked in the front entrance to CVS store and approached the check-out counter. The suspect told the clerk to open the cash drawer and give him all the money. This suspect had one hand inside his sweatshirt pocket implying he had a weapon.

Police - CVS Robbery Release 2The clerk handed the suspect the money from the cash drawer and the suspect fled the scene in what is believed to be an older model silver Jeep Cherokee with heavy passenger side damage.  The black male suspect is further described as being in his mid-30s, about 5’5” inches tall and 160 pounds with short hair and an unshaven face.

He was wearing a grey zip up hooded sweatshirt, white t-shirt, blue jeans and gray shoes.  It is believed this same suspect committed a robbery at a Waterbury CVS store this morning as well.
