Police arrest woman for selling prescription pills

Southington Police arrested a Cheshire woman for selling prescription pills in Southington. On Feb. 26, Marika Tiniakos, 24, of Cheshire, was arrested for two counts of selling xanax and two counts of selling oxycodone.

The Special Investigation Unit opened an investigation in April 2015 after receiving information that Tiniakos was selling prescription pills. Based on this information, four controlled purchases of prescription pills were made from Tiniakos. As a result of this investigation, four arrest warrants were issued by the Bristol Superior Court GA #17.

Tiniakos posted bonds totaling $200,000 on the four cases and is scheduled to appear at the Bristol Superior Court on March 14, 2016.

The warrants were sealed at the time of the arrest and no further information will be released.
