Southington resident Dr. Thomas Finn, a clinical psychologist on staff at the Franciscan Life Center, is presenting two educational enrichment programs in the spring of 2016.
The parenting classes will be held on April 6 and April 13, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in the San Damiano Room of the Chiara Center, 275 Finch Ave., Meriden.
These classes are designed to help parents learn techniques to help raise responsible and cooperative children. The class is geared toward parents with children 13 years of age and younger. Cost is $40 per person ($60 per couple).
In addition, Dr. Finn will be holding a anxiety workshop on Wednesdays, April 20 to May 25, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the San Damiano Room. This six-week course will help manage anxiety. The course will include an educational component, cognitive behavioral therapy application, exercises and problem-solving for ages 16 and over. Cost is $40 for each session.
