The Southington Lions Club’s 25th annual “Everything Goes” charity auction is just around the corner. This year’s fun-filled evening, on Saturday, March 5, will have something for everyone, from baseball tickets to a Red Sox-Yankees game at Fenway Park to YMCA family memberships, and more.
The event will take place at Mary Our Queen church hall at 248 Savage St., Plantsville. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for registration, wine tasting, and a preview of auction items. The auction will begin at 7:15 p.m.
Cost is $5, and includes entry into the drawing for the grand door prize, a 32-inch LED HDTV, plus several bonus door prizes. Complimentary refreshments, including wine and cheese, hors d’oeuvres, beverages and dessert items will be served during the evening.
The auction features a number of household items, dining packages, theater tickets, entertainment packages, YMCA and Camp Sloper certificates, paintings, home decorator items, carpeting, professional services, automotive services, and many other items too numerous to mention, including the popular “instant auction raffle” and the “mystery treasure chest.” All of the auction items are made possible through donations of local businesses and citizens.
Tickets are available from any Southington Lions Club member and are available at the door. All purchases are payable by cash or check.
Proceeds from the auction benefit Southington Lions Club Eye Research and community services projects. If you have a question contact Lion Bruce Vagts at (860) 628-4861.
