Wendell Copeland, of Plainville, will be exhibiting his photography at The Gallery at The Orchards during the month of February. The title of his show is “As Life Goes By.”

Copeland has been taking pictures since serving the armed forces in Germany. When he returned to the U.S., he won a cash prize in a Chicago Tribune photo contest.

Over the years, Copeland has become a regular photographer for Santa, Christmas and birthday photos for family and friends. He designed a Santa Claus stamp for the Town of Bethlehem, which is available every Christmas at the Bethlehem Post Office. He is a member of the “Snappy Seniors” group at the Plainville Senior Center.

Copeland is also an artist, specializing in pastels, acrylics, and pencil. He designed, draws, and produces a monthly cartoon strip for the “Plainville Hometown Connection Newspaper.”

The Gallery at The Orchards is located in the Community Room, on the second floor, at The Orchards. The Gallery is run by Southington Arts and Crafts Association. Please call The Orchards at (860) 628-5656 for available day and evening viewing hours.
