After coming off of their first win of the season in a four-point win, 44-40, at Plainville (2-10) last week, the Blue Knights basketball team (1-10) remained out on the road this past week and suffered their 10th loss of the season at South Windsor (4-6) on Friday, Jan. 22.
Southington fell short to the Bobcats by 10 points, 44-34.
The Knights trailed by six points at halftime, 17-11, but fell behind by 10 entering the fourth quarter, 29-19.
Nate Blitz anchored the Knights offensively for the second straight game with 15 points. Joe Koczera stepped in to contribute seven points and Mark Lindberg added six.
Kewan Smoot led the Bobcats with 15 points.
The Knights will fight for a seat in the postseason when they welcome Fermi (0-9) to their home floor on Tuesday, Jan. 26 and travel to Glastonbury (6-5) to visit the Tomahawks on Friday, Jan. 29.
