To the editor:

On Jan. 7, Jimmy Aldi turned 90. his party was at his Commercial Auto Body garage on Beecher Street, and a good number of good friends and family were there to celebrate Jimmy’s birthday.

Jimmy was happy and surprised. He enjoyed the company, and the talk was all about the years on Beecher Street, and all the good people, and the businesses in this area that helped get Southington growing.

We remembered Commercial Auto Body, Dom Mongillo’s Asphalt Paving, George Casale Heating and Air Conditioning, Perillo’s Oil Company, Phil’s Restaurant, Zawizsas, Grimaldis, Hopko’s Grocery Stores, and Phil’s Barber Shop. Everyone enjoyed the party.

Jimmy, I’ll see you around. The next party is at your place, No. 91. Take care, and God bless.

Richard Casale, Southington
