Donald Bisson, 56, of Cheshire, turned himself into Southington Police at 10:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11 after learning there was an active warrant for his arrest.
The warrant alleges Bisson was witnessed operating his vehicle in an erratic manner on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Meriden Avenue, and Route 10 during the late afternoon on Oct. 20. Officers made contact with Bisson, and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Further investigation showed Bisson was operating the vehicle under the influence and also in possession of heroin at the time of the incident.
He was charged with reckless driving, operating under the influence of drugs, and illegal possession of narcotics. He was processed and released on a $1,000 bond with an appearance date of Dec. 28, 2015 for the Bristol Court.
