Music to our ears; Derynoski donates to vets

Derynosky- Hailey Zaczynski and Aiden Rand with the 20 ipods

Derynosky students raised $300 through a collection of spare change spearheaded by Aiden Rand and Hailey Zaczynski, above, during a recent school fundraiser, and American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 matched those funds. Together, they were able to purchase 20 iPod shuffles to be used in the music and memory program at the Rocky Hill veterans home. Southington Walmart manager, Daniel Eshod, offered a discounted price to assist the purchase.
