Three locals were honored by Hartford HealthCare (HHC) Senior Services on Nov. 11 at the second annual Longevity and Clarence J. Silvia Celebration at Hawk’s Landing Country Club in Southington.
Mary Schneider from Mulberry Gardens of Southington, Julie Wendt of Southington Care Center, and Gina Moccio of The Orchards at Southington were each presented with a Clarence J. Silva Leadership award.
The award acknowledges outstanding employees of Hartford HealthCare Senior Services communities who are exemplary in their work. Winners were selected based on numerous characteristics, including strong work ethic, firm belief in the mission of the organization and serving seniors, leadership qualities, awareness of the importance of resident-centered care, and sincerity and authenticity in their interactions.
“The longevity and leadership award recipients honored are our leaders, both formal and informal. They lead by example, they lead with their knowledge and experience, and they lead with their passion and compassion for our seniors,” said HHC Community Network vice president Lisa Connolly, NHA in an HHC press release. “Their dedication to our residents and loyalty to our organization are the driving force behind our reputation for outstanding care and service. I am grateful for their contributions.”
