To the editor:

I’m an 8th grader at DePaolo Middle School. I am very upset about hearing what happened to Mr. Palmieri, getting kicked off the Apple Harvest Festival committee.

As a student at DePaolo I can tell that he works his butt off and still wakes up in the morning like all of us and tries his best to make a difference in the lives of his students. He definitely shouldn’t get kicked off the Apple Harvest committee just because of one person’s opinion.

Every year, as I’m walking through the streets of the Apple Harvest Festival I love seeing Mr. Palmieri roaming around the festival because he is needed so many places.

He is so involved. I don’t know how he does it, but he certainly makes the town of Southington and DePaolo a better place.

Kristen Gorham, DePaolo Middle School student
