Lori Lehan of Southington has been named vice president of human resources for the YMCA of Greater Hartford.
In her previous role at an area non-profit, Lehan created and implemented a formal talent pool development program, was responsible for recruitment, placement, training and employee relations for over 500 employees in multiple locations, and led efforts to measure and improve communication and employee engagement.
“The YMCA of Greater Hartford is poised to expand its footprint in Connecticut. As we prepare to bring programs and services to new communities, we need human resource leadership that can help us grow a team with a shared passion for the Y’s mission to help people develop their fullest potential in spirit, mind and body,” said YMCA of Greater Hartford president and CEO Harold Sparrow said in a YMCA press release. “We welcome Lori to the YMCA of Greater Hartford and look forward to this exciting era of growth.”
Lehan holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Central Connecticut State University and a masters in business from Pace University. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Human Resource Association of Central Connecticut.
