A Southington High School ninth-grader will dedicate another holiday season to helping those in need.
Reilley Walden, 13, will be hosting her sixth annual toy drive for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center (CCMC).
Walden began the tradition at age 7, after being diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Idiopathic Arthritis.
For six-years she has been fulfilling her goal of making the season a little more cheerful for children who cannot leave the hospital to spend the holidays at home.
This year’s drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 2223 Meriden-Waterbury Rd., in Marion.
Walden is asking Southington residents to help her “Stuff My Mom’s SUV” filled with toys for children at CCMC.
The family is asking for donations of new, un-wrapped, un-opened toys.
