To the editor:
I am independent who voted for two of the three Democratic Town Councilors who cowardly walked out of the council meeting on Oct. 20.
I think they displayed a level of unprofessionalism that failed the tax payers of Southington.
This incident is about doing what is right and meeting the responsibilities that come with being elected to public office, not to flee from a “difficult issue” as they expressed.
The question is why did they not abstain from voting if they objected to the meeting content?
The Strength to stand up for what is right, displayed by Tom Lombardi, reinforced my support for him more than ever.
