To the editor:

The family of Michael Shanley would like to thank those that attended the celebration of the naming of the I-84 Westbound bridge at Exit 32 in Mike’s honor.

Special gratitude to John DeMello for initiating the idea and State Rep. Dave Zoni for submitting it through legislation.

We are humbled by this recognition and pleased that so many were able to share in this heart-warming event with us.  Although Mike would have cringed at the attention, he would have been very proud and appreciative, as we are.

Thank you, again.

Jim and Kathy Shanley, Ron, Chrissy, Aidan and Sean Buck
