To the editor:

As a member of the Community Committee to Save Bradley, I would like to thank the Town Council members who have shown support for Bradley Hospital: John Barry, Dawn Miceli, Chris Palmieri, Cheryl Lounsbury, and Stephanie Urillo.

For those naysayers who didn’t think that it could be done, Bradley Hospital was saved and is thriving because of the support of the residents who love Bradley and Southington.

We had an uplifting rally to support the inpatient beds. We started at the Sylvia Bradley Memorial Library (Historical Society building) and proceeded uphill to Bradley Memorial Hospital that was donated to our town by Julia Bradley.

We held our signs high, and residents honked horns in support.

Hartford Healthcare listened and has kept the inpatient beds at Bradley Hospital, but we want them to know that we are ever watchful that they keep their promises.

Once again, thank you to all the residents and staff that helped save our hospital.

Marie Forgione, Southington
