Southington police announced that Stephen Cieszynski, 46, of Southington was arrested on Friday, Oct. 9 at approximately 2:30 p.m. after an incident on Atwater Street.
The warrant stems from an incident on Sept. 23, 2015 when Cieszynski allegedly became angry with a victim and pulled the victim’s hair. When Officers attempted to follow up with the investigation, Cieszynski ran into the residence and barricaded himself inside.
At approximately 6:15 p.m., officers were able to enter the residence where Cieszynski was safely located and taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
Cieszynski was charged with second degree breach of peace. He was processed and held on a $50,000 bond. He was presented in court on Oct. 13.
