FLU SHOT CLINIC. 10 a.m. to noon at Calendar House, 388 Pleasant St. Plainville-Southington Regional Health Department will provide a “flu shot” clinic for Plainville and Southington residents. You must bring your insurance card and/or Medicare Part B card. If you do not have either, there is a $20 fee. Consent forms are available at Calendar House.
ITALIAN NIGHT. 5:30 p.m. at Hawks Landing CC. Tickets cost $17 and are on sale through Friday, Oct. 23 (or sold out). Transportation from the Calendar House is available upon request. Designer placemats created by the Derynoski Elementary School fifth graders will scare or delight you. Tickets ($1) are available at Calendar House.
FREE BALANCE SCREENINGS. Hartford HealthCare Senior Services offers free balance screenings provided by licensed physical therapists at Southington Care Center, 45 Meriden Ave. Such screenings can play an important role in preventing falls. Appointments are required. Call (860) 378-1234.
