The Southington Police Department announced two arrests after a bar fight at the Hollywood Bar & Lounge at 1104 Queen St.
Police received a report of the fight at midnight on Sunday, Sept. 27. According to a witness, an argument began inside the establishment after Jermaine Armstrong, 37, of Bristol, was asked to leave. Armstrong became belligerent, and as he was being physically removed from the bar, he allegedly punched an employee.
While Armstrong was outside, Nicholas Grahn, 31, of Southington, attempted to grab a bottle off of the bar, and he also had to be physically removed from the establishment.
Once outside the bar, Armstrong and Grahn refused to leave the property. While outside, Grahn allegedly broke a piece of wooden fence and struck a Hollywood employee in the head with the piece of wood. Armstrong and Grahn were detained by Hollywood employees until the police arrived.
Both men were charged with second degree threatening, first degree criminal trespassing, and second degree breach of peace. They were each released on a $5,000 bond, and are scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on Oct. 13.
