To the editor:

Hey, Southington residents, slow down a little. Enjoy each day of your life because it goes by fast.

Look at what happened to the people in California. Over 500 homes burned to the ground. Nothing remains.

In Japan, a few weeks ago, there were floods and hundreds of homes completely washed away.

So people, enjoy and respect what you have. Your home, your family, friends, cars, and health. Be thankful you have all these things and treat people with respect.

Say hi to someone that you pass by. Stay off the trunk of the car in front of you. Slow life down a little.

If you’re a boss at work, don’t be on your employees for every little thing, and sometimes for no reason. Show some respect. It goes a long way.

The jerks around us, most of them won’t change. But for a lot of us, look at what you have. Enjoy life now, make the most of each day, and slow it down a little.

Have a good day, and life.

Rick Casale, Southington
