The girl’s field hockey team (0-4, 0-2 in division) dropped two more games this week with a 10-0 loss to Glastonbury (4-0) on Tuesday, Sept. 15 and a 4-0 loss to Newington (1-2) on Friday, Sept. 18, both on the road.
On Tuesday, Glaston-bury scored four goals in the first half and the other six in the second half. Amanda Delorme saved 24 of Glastonbury’s 34 shots on goal.
On Friday, Newington scored two goals in the first half and the other two in the second half. The first goal came at 16:22 left in the first half with the second coming shortly after at 15:00. Newington scored their third goal quickly in the second half at 24:44, then scored the fourth at 7:38.
Delorme saved eight of Newington’s 12 shots on goal. The Knights took five shots on goal and had penalty corners.
The Knights are currently in seventh in the North Region will look for their first win of the season when they host the South Region’s Avon (3-1) on Friday, Sept. 25.
