The 2015 Apple Harvest Festival will be here soon, and over the first two weekends in October festival goers will find a host of fun and surprises. While enjoying the time catching up with friends and exploring all that the festival has to offer, organizers ask that visitors visit the festival sponsors.

Located on ‘Sponsor Row’ on the town green, at the intersection of Center Street and Main Street, visitors can learn about Apple Harvest Festival platinum sponsor Liberty Bank, who is sponsoring the Apple Harvest Festival Parade. Visit their booth to find out how you can qualify for $100 when you open a new personal or business checking account.

Platinum Sponsor Alexia will be sponsoring the fireworks. Look for them on the second weekend, Oct. 9 to Oct. 11, at the top of the Riccio Way food area for the “Alexia Farm to Flavor Adventure Tour.” Alexia Foods’ quality ingredients and delicious flavors are coming from the farm – and heading to Southington. Taste free samples of Alexia sides prepared exactly how Mother Nature would: all-natural, gourmet-inspired and absolutely delicious. Food lovers can also enjoy live cooking demonstrations by a local chef and enter for a chance to win exciting Farm to Flavor prizes like an in-home chef experience, a trip to California Wine Country, or vouchers for an Alexia side.

Visit Bigelow Teas on Saturday, Oct. 3 and Sunday, Oct. 4 at their booth at the top of the Riccio Way. They will be offering samples to festival visitors.

Festival officials ask that visitors stop by all the sponsor booths.

Gold Sponsors are Parsons Buick, American Medical Response and Price Chopper.

Silver Sponsors are Lincoln College of New England, TD Bank, Just 4 Kids Dentistry, Waste Material Trucking, American Eagle Credit Union (hosts of the Apple Fritter Eating Contest), HQ Dumpsters, UCONN Medical Center (hosts of the Bed Race), The Hospital of Central Connecticut at Bradley Memorial, and new this year C-Tec Solar, Frontier (hosts of the Apple Pie Eating Contest), and Cox Communications.

“This hugely successful festival in its 47th year has support from hundreds of volunteers,” officials said in a press release. “The continued support from our sponsors plays a very big part in the overall success of this celebrated event.”
