Keith Hayden, Director of Public Works for the Town of Southington, has announced an invitation for sealed bids for the additions and renovations to Memorial Park’s poolhouse and splashpad. Bids will be received at the Southington Town Hall, Office of the Town Manager, 75 Main Street, until Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 10:30 am, after which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work consists of an 800 square food addition to the poolhouse, new masonry and masonry repair, new pool filter equipment, a new splash pad, removal and replacement of the existing concrete slab, new doors, new operable venting, new accessible toilet facilities, new changing area, removal and replacement of the entire roof system, cementicious painting, and adhered stone veneer.
Plans, specifications, and proposals for the project may be reviewed at the Southington Engineering Office, located at the Municipal Center, 196 North Main Street in Southington. Copies of the contract documents may be obtained on the town’s website (www.southington.org) and the State of Connecticut DAS portal (www.das.ct.gov).
