Obituaries for Feb. 13

Julian H. Albrecht Jr., 85, of Plantsville, died on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain General. He had been the loving husband of Delia (Plourde) Albrecht for 64 years.

George P. Griffin, 88, of Southington, died on Thursday, Jan. 29, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. He had been the husband of Rose Myrtle (Hanson) Griffin for 64 years.

Bernice (Daigle) Theriault, 70, of Southington, died on Saturday, Jan. 31. She was the wife of Roland Theriault.

Maureen D. Chevrier, 70, of Cheshire, died on Jan. 28 after suffering with a chronic illness for 11 years.

Shirley Carlene Rider, 91, a Southington resident for 70 years, died on Feb. 6, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut at New Britain General.

Lena “Mickey” (Costanzo) Smith, 93, of Plantsville, formerly of New Britain, died at home on Jan. 15. She was predeceased by her husband, John Smith, in 2007.

Dale Velodota, 57, died on Wednesday, Feb. 4 in Plattsburgh, N.Y. He was born on Dec. 7, 1957, the son of the late John and Rena (Trombly) Velodota.

Philippe L. Martel, 86, of Southington, died on Thursday, Feb. 5 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, Bradley Campus.

June Louise (McLean) Meeker, 92, of Southington, died on Sunday Feb. 1 at The Curtis Home in Meriden. She had been the wife of the late George W. Meeker who predeceased her in 1967.
