The Southington Lions Club will conduct its 24th Annual “Everything Goes” Charity Auction on Saturday, March 7, and the event is open to everyone.
It will take place at Mary Our Queen Church hall at 248 Savage Street in Plantsville. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for registration, wine tasting, and auction item preview. The auction is scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m.
This year’s edition will feature baseball tickets to a Red Sox vs. Yankees game at Fenway Park, a YMCA family membership, and a number of other auction items, including household items, dining packages, theater tickets, entertainment packages, YMCA and Camp Sloper certificates, paintings, home decorator items, carpeting, professional services, automotive services, and more.
The annual auction will also feature perennial favorites like the Instant Auction Raffle and the Mystery Treasure Chest. All auction items were donated by local businesses and citizens.
Admission is $5, which includes entry into the drawing for the grand prize, a 32-inch LED HDTV, plus several bonus door prizes. Complimentary refreshments, including wine and cheese, hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and dessert items will be served throughout the evening.
Tickets are available from any Southington Lions Club member and will be available at the door.
Proceeds from the auction benefit Southington Lions Club Eye Research Fund and community services projects.
