Approximately 50 teams from surrounding areas in both Connecticut and Massachusetts descended upon the high school, competing in almost 70 qualifying matches before moving onto the elimination and championship rounds. Team 195A was ranked fifth following their qualification matches, making them an alliance captain for elimination rounds, while 195B and 195D were selected by two other teams to join their alliance.

Several rounds of highly competitive play made up the final matches of the day. 195D, a member of the number one seeded alliance remained in competition, assisting their partners, team 817E, Sparticles Lost Connection from East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and team 822A, Geared Up, from Manchester, all the way to the finals. With energy levels rising, Southington took home the win with a concluding score of 46-22.
