The Steeple Players of the First Congregational Church, Southington will be staging the musical, “Les Misérables” starting Friday, Nov. 14.
The musical is set in 19th century France during a time political unrest. It follows several stories that intertwine with the life of released prisoner Jean Valjean as he strives for redemption through good deeds and God, all the while struggling with haunts from his past.
This musical production is directed by Crystal Sullivan and produced by Nora Matthews.
Due to subject matter, Les Misérables is intended for audiences 13 and older.
Performances will be:
- Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. (free-will offering, ticket required)
- Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.
Doors open 30 minutes before show time. Tickets are $12 when purchased in advance and are available in the church office and at Coffee & Conversation following most church services.
If tickets are still available, they may be purchased for $15 at the door.

Please note that in order for Steeple Players to offer this service, the online ticket price includes a $.50 convenience fee per ticket. Please print your confirmation email and bring it with you to the show as this will be your ticket.
The Steeple Players theater group at First Congregational Church of Southington has performed socially-relevant musicals, dramas, and comedies for the congregation and community since 1998. The group is a member ministry of the Board of Music & Arts, and welcome all interested people to participate either on stage or in a support capacity. The Players produce a minimum of two shows per year, challenging audiences while providing first-class local entertainment.
