Milford man charged with copper wire theft

A Milford man was arrested for the ongoing theft of copper wire and cable from Guitar Center.

On Friday, May 2, Benjamin M. Fidanza, 27, surrendered to police after learning there was a warrant for his arrest.

According to a release from the Southington Police Department, the arrest followed the investigations of a theft of copper wire and cable from the Guitar Center on Queen Street, between January, 2013 – April, 2013.  The stolen copper wire and cable was taken from a job site at the Guitar Center as part of electrical installation work being performed.

Fidanza was an employee of the company hired to do the electrical work at the site. The wire had a value of $8491.56.

Fidanza was charged with second degree larceny. He was held on a $25,000 bond with a May 12 court date.
