Bread for Life is the non-profit organization that will benefit from the Saturday, Aug. 31 showing of “The Incredible Hulk” at the Southington Drive-in. “The Hulk” will be on hand for photo opportunities and will also lead a parade line around the cars before the movie. Children are encouraged to dress in costume as their favorite superhero. Face painting and the game “Pin the Face on The Hulk” will be offered. Proceeds from the sale of popcorn, candy, and nachos with cheese or salsa will benefit Bread for Life.
“The Southington Drive-in is a great summer night out for families and ‘The Incredible Hulk’ is a favorite superhero movie. What a great combination,” said Eldon Hafford, executive director of Bread for Life. “We hope the community will come down to support Bread for Life and movie-goers will do their part in supporting food programs that serve their neediest neighbors. It should be a night of fun.”
The Southington Drive-in is located at 935 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in Southington.
Gates open at 6 p.m. and the movie will begin at sunset.
Tickets are $10 a carload for Southington residents, $13 a carload for non-residents, $2 per person for walk-ins (bring a lawn chair).
