Apple Harvest photo contest is back

The Apple Harvest Festival is once again hosting a photo contest.

All winning and submitted photos will be displayed during the festival. The contest is open to amateur photographers only. There are no age categories or entry fees.

The theme of the photos should have something to do with apples or the harvesting of apples. The date the photo was taken, along with the entrant’s name, phone number and address, should be labeled on the reverse side of the photograph.

All photos submitted should be mounted on a mount board, foamcore or placed in a cardboard mat. No frames area allowed.

Photos should be either 5” x 7” or 8” x 11” in size and may be in color or black & white.

There is a maximum of two entries per person.

All photos become the property of the Southington Apple Harvest Festival.

There are cash prizes for the winners. First prize receives $100, second, $75 and third $50.

Entry deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 25, by 4:30 p.m.

Entries may be mailed to Apple Harvest Festival – Photo Contest, P.O. Box 907, Southington, CT  06489. Entries may also be dropped off at the Parks & Recreation office located within Southington Town Hall, 75 Main Street (second floor).
