Police aid gunshot victim found at Econo Lodge

Police responded to the Econo Lodge early Saturday after receiving a call that a victim with a gunshot wound was at the location.

Police received a call from a female at the 1845 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike location at 12:46 a.m., concerning the gunshot victim. After arriving, police discovered a 25-year-old male who was shot in the thigh and groin area.

The victim, whose name police did not release, was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. The victim is in stable condition, according to police.
